I’m Brendan Parlange, and I recently obtained my master’s degree in Geography, specializing in development studies. I’m most interested in using feminist theory and post-colonial theory to analyze power relations in society at multiple scales.

What is “The Sun in Us”?

The Sun in Us is a blog which will cover a cycling trip from Lausanne, Switzerland to (hopefully…) Cape Town, South Africa. Instead of recounting the trip like a typical cycling blog, I will attempt to draw from sources which were important during my time at university to find interesting stories displaying the interactions between humans and nature along the way.
